You know how you feel when show up for your first day of class and you pick out your seat and you lug out your overpriced textbook and you are ready, I mean READY, to get that syllabus in your hands and find out what you are going to learn week by week this semester, and then the professor slouches in with an inexplicably dirty coffee cup and zero educational materials and says, “Ah, I thought we’d just do some icebreakers today, let’s put our desks in a circle and we’ll each tell each other forty-seven interesting facts about ourselves…”?????
Great! Then you know exactly how awful and frustrating writing an author bio feels, and you’ll forgive me for keeping this one brief. Let’s get it over with!
As you may have guessed from the site’s domain, my name is Chase Night.
I’m also a bookhat model.
I am 34 years old. I live in rural Arkansas with my wife, two cats, and one dog. We also keep horses on my mother’s farm. No kids, and no plans for ’em.
I graduated with a BA in Creative Writing from the University of Central Arkansas in 2014, but decided not to try for an MFA, in part because I’m so done with doing icebreakers. Haha, not really. I’m actually just super done with accruing student loans.
If you want to know more about my writing process and future books, you can check out my rather elaborate FAQ page, or visit the Connect page for social media links, along with a collection of articles, interviews, and guest posts published elsewhere.
And of course, there’s always my Scrolls. And by always, I mean sporadically at best. Which is why your best bet for keeping up with them is to hit the subscribe button in the sidebar.
Okay, that’s it. That’s all I’ve got. Go explore the more interesting pages now. I’ve got books to try on.
